I-215 Spill Response and Freeway Incident Cleanup

The I-215 links San Bernardino to Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris, Menifee, Murrieta, and Temecula, carrying commuter volume and a steady stream of regional freight. SpillSafe Environmental responds to incidents along its full length, 24 hours a day.

The 215 is a working freeway. It connects the San Bernardino interchange complex at its north end to the fast-growing communities and distribution development spreading south through Riverside County. Traffic mixes daily commuters with delivery and freight movement, and the result is a consistent pattern of collisions that release fuel, hydraulic fluid, and cargo onto the roadway.

Because much of the corridor is bordered by open ground, drainage channels, and newer development, a release that is not contained quickly can move off the pavement and become a soil and groundwater problem rather than a roadway problem. Speed matters, and containment matters more than volume.

Our crews stage from Mentone, a short run to the north end of the 215 and well positioned for the Riverside and Moreno Valley stretch. We handle the full response, from initial containment through recovery, excavation where soil is impacted, and manifested disposal.
